About

As a User Experience Designer I am driven to create intuitive, useful and engaging products and services. My main interests are design strategy and interaction design. My long-term career goals include leading cross-discipline UX teams with a focus on design strategy. I enjoy collaborating with developers and product owners often. When I’m not solving design problems or coding you may catch me mountain biking, or having fun with my wife and son.

What drives me

I love empathizing with a user base and building great user experiences. I constantly think about how people are perceiving products and services, often asking: “How could I make this better?” That curiosity and drive combined with my love of technology allows me to create and build quality products. I feel that good design makes the world a better place and I have always been driven to create that world.

Design Philosophy

  • Design is about making things better for people. Done right, you are able to deliver solutions users didn’t know would enhance their experiences with your product/service.
  • Design is a competitive advantage that has objective measures. Design should help drive strategic business decisions.
  • You won’t be right 100% of the time. Learn from your users: iterate and improve products quickly.
  • Design should include collaboration with all product stakeholders. Teamwork and collaboration build stronger products and make better experiences for the user.
  • The three “P’s” are what make a business thrive: “People, Process and Product”
